About Our Leadership Team
VoiceNEXT founders Gary Cooper and Michael Galkin were first introduced to each other in 2003 by their fathers. From there, the two experienced the biggest problem with phone companies—the lack of quality customer service. Together, they created and built VoiceNEXT using the latest technology in order to provide its clients with the best communications systems and with superior customer service.
Prior to co-founding VoiceNEXT in 2004, Gary served as Director of Information Technology for an electrical distribution firm. As an I.T. specialist, he was responsible for all of the company’s communication systems. Following his tenure as Chief Executive of I.T., Gary became the Director of Purchasing. There he played a key role in the planning, building, and implementation of the company’s first distribution center. His responsibilities also included developing strategic partnerships with vendors and customers and maintaining their multi-million-dollar inventory.
Michael Galkin, co-founder of VoiceNEXT, is a serial entrepreneur. From starting his first company in his freshman dorm room to taking another public, Mike takes a vision and turns that vision into reality. Mike has over 35 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He was involved in the wireless industry from its inception in 1986. He is presently a leader in the VoIP industry with 18 years’ experience. Mike was recognized as a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Inc. 500 Award (#126).

The Beginning of VoiceNEXT
VoiceNEXT was originally founded as a hosted PBX phone provider. Traditional phone systems were housed in a box on location, known as PBX. As technology advanced, the box no longer needed to be on location, creating hosted PBX. Today, co-founders Gary Cooper and Michael Galkin continue to help customers understand hosted PBX and provide cloud-based technology to businesses, creating a high-functioning workplace. Cloud-based phone systems offer many new features that make communication more efficient, effective, and reliable.
