PBX Features
Automated Attendant – P
A device which answers callers with a digital recording, and allows them to route themselves to an extension through touch tone input in response to a voice prompt.
Attendant Console – P
A computer program that allows the system operator or attendant to answer calls and send those calls to proper extension.
Music On Hold – S
Background music heard when someone is put on hold, letting them know they are still connected. VoiceNEXT has a standard Music on Hold or you can customize it.
Advanced Call Distribution – P
A specialized system designed to route incoming calls to ALL available personnel so that calls are evenly distributed. An ACD performs 4 functions. It will recognize and answer incoming calls. it will look in its database for instructions on what to do with the call. Based on these instructions it will send the caller to a recording "somebody will be with you soon, please don't hang up." Finally it will send the call to the first available agent as soon as they are finished with the last call.
Hunt Groups - S
The ability to route calls to multiple extensions or have multiple extensions ring at the same time.
